Massage

Having just completed a Dip. of Remedial Massage I have the most up to date science based knowledge in muscular dysfunctions and the techniques needed to help treat them. I gain a lot of fullfilment from helping people achieve optimal function through regular treatments.

My passion with massage is taking up the challenge of discovering which muscles are tight and which are weakened and personalising your treatment to provide you with ongoing pain relief and overall better health. Some benefits of massage are-

Improved function

Pain Relief

Stress Relief

feelings of well-being

And many more.

My journey into alternative health therapies started with an injury I sustained last year which left me with some long term damage. Choosing not to accept what the doctor said (that I might not be able to use my hand in a functional way again) I decided to give 200% to my rehabilitation plan.

After regaining some use of my hand I decided to study Massage therapy with the idea of healing my hands through healing others.

Recently I have been offered an opportunity to teach massage to new students at the school I had completed my study at. I am very happy and honoured to help share the knowledge I have gained and spread the word about the many benefits of massage.

Come and treat your body and I’m sure you will be satisfied with the results, helping you lead a joyful and happy life.

* reduced muscle tension;
* improved circulation;
* stimulation of the lymphatic system;
* reduction of stress hormones;
* increased joint mobility and flexibility;
* improved skin tone;
* speedier healing of soft tissue injuries;
* heightened mental alertness;
* reduced anxiety and depression.

At One Chiropractor Health Bianca performs the specific treatments as follows:

Sweedish Massage

Sweedish also known as Relaxation massage is all about relaxing. It focuses on giving the client time to recover from the stresses of daily life. When you experience relaxation massage, you can expect a treatment that involves:
* Long smooth gliding strokes that are rhythmic and flowing;
* Pressure that is deeply relaxing, but not painful
* A treatment that is designed to soothe and relax you, not to relieve chronic pain or other underlying ailments;

Pregnancy Massage

During Pregnancy, a woman’s body undergoes many changes, some of them stressful and uncomfortable. Massage is a great way to reduce stress and promote general wellbeing for the mum to be. Massage during pregnancy can:
– reduce swollen painful legs and feet
– help to prevent insomnia;
– reduce muscle cramps and back pain;
– soothe the nervous system;
– ease sciatica, leg cramps and shoulder pain.

Remedial Massage

It uses several specialized techniques to locate and repair damage and to support and speed up the body’s own repair mechanisms. The massage is applied directly to the skin using oil, which ensures that the muscles associated with the disorder and mobilization of the joints are deeply penetrated. Passive stretching moves are also used. The Key benefits of Remedial Massage include: the stimulation to the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed; the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort; and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility.

Reflexology

Reflexology promotes balance in physical, mental, emotional and energetic levels. It’s a holistic treatment, which promotes a considerable body deep relaxation.
Its well known that high levels of stress, toxins and illness create blockages inhibiting the flow of energy and natural body balance. These blockages also manifest in the corresponding points in the feet and hands, By stimulating the congested reflexes the body gets prepared to start clearing these blockages, allowing the flow to be restored.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and wellbeing, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Cupping is based on the meridian theory of the body. On one hand,
cupping removes any stagnation in the body and opens the meridians so that natural body energy can flow freely. On the other, it also helps to rejuvenate certain meridians and organs that are not functioning at their best. From a scientific standpoint, cupping is known to help activate the lymphatic system, promote blood circulation, and is good for deep tissue repair.
